What do you like most about the subject?

History is like a puzzle — it involves thinking critically about all kinds of evidence to uncover how and why people did the things they did.

How would you describe your teaching style?

I like to immerse students in the evidence of the past, everything from seventeenth-century diaries to twentieth- century political cartoons.

What else can you tell us about yourself?

I enjoy reading mysteries, and watching scary movies. My dream job: travel writer/photographer

What do you like most about these subjects?

Anthropology gives us a systematic way to understand and appreciate cultural differences from the easy to the challenging.

How would you describe your teaching style?

My style is fifty percent lecturing, and fifty percent learning by doing.

My style is caring and interactive and with high expectations. I use deep subject knowledge to prepare students for the next level. I relate to other disciplines and I insist on mastery of the basic.

What do you like most about the subject?

I can use a variety of venues, material and subjects as I improve students’ reading, writing and critical thinking. I often select readings that concern our social being, responsibilities and global events.

How would you describe your teaching style?

I challenge students but always start where they are coming from as I try to incorporate new knowledge. It is a continuous interweaving of their experiences while rejoicing at their diversity and accomplishments as I address their varied needs and learning styles.
